I've had the opportunity to perform for some very high profile clients. While some clients/managers have you sign a NDA, there are some who don't and are okay with me sharing some behind the scenes commentary.
The latest celebrity event I did was for the Dallas Cowboy's Micah Parsons. He was launching his new foundation, Lion Heart Foundation and I was asked if I could provide the entertainment for the night. It was a great event serving a great cause and I was also able to run into and connect with Miami Dolphin's Tyreek Hill, who I performed for alongside my wife at his event in Miami and American professional wrestler Titus Oneil, and many more celebrities.
But here's the thing I think I love the most about these events...is that I get to make sure everyone feels seen, by treating everyone the same, no matter their status. I've found that sometimes we focus on the high profile name, who is often occupied and has goals to accomplish in those settings, and we forget about just being present with what or who is right in front of us.
For me, it's very important to acknowledge and make a connection with the "other" people there as well. And honestly, I've found that sometimes those become the stronger connections and I end up getting more from them than the connection I "should have" made.
This was a great event and I was very thankful to be able to add this Dallas event to my resume and l'm looking forward to adding more unique opportunities and sharing them with you!
